I appreciate simplicity because, it is in fact hard to achieve. The ring is elegant because it is so simple, moreover the photography is masterful.


I rather like this piece as well, although this is extremely bias as i've always found the steam punk style interesting. The greatest appeal of the piece is that some of the parts are moveable and
this allows it to be changed into a heart shape.


Even though this concept is great, i mean the sweets look positively delicious, i have seen better things done with resin and perspex producing a similar effect.

I like this drawing, in most part because of the content but also one can't avoid the detail portrayed here.

What motivates you to learn?

How do you learn?

How do you know you understand something?

A learner is someone who aims to learn something.

Learning is the process you go by to learn in most cases there exists an individual choice of style.

Teaching to me is explaining something to someone such that they can understand it and if explanation is beyond one's capability, then one must equip their subject with the tools to go and find out.

A teacher to me is someone who facilitates the learning process. Essentially to me this is the person who steers your research in the right direction because everything we come across is so broad

I have a natural curiosity to make sense of the world around me, if i do not understand how something i come across works then i make it a point to find out

I learn best through research, discussion and some form of visual reference point.

I know I know something when i can explain it to someone else in a way that they too can understand it.

I got mixed reviews when discussing Infecting the City with my peers, it seems as though not many people liked the exhibition. My thoughts on the subject are that because we who are making jewellery are so used to working with clean shiny metal that the rustic and rudementary style of the exhibition was slightly unappealing.
We are not normally exposed to alternative materials such as plastic, bone or even recycled materials for example and because jewellery is so ancient in its style and appeal we hold onto the idea of clean lines in our design style. Green and recycled materials are a very recent trend in jewellry making.
